The Biosafety National Technical Commission – CTNBio, using the powers vested in it by Decree no. 5,591, of November 22, 2005, which regulates provisions of Law no. 11,105, of March 24, 2005, and according to what was passed during the 114th CTNBio Regular  Meeting, of June 19, 2008, determines:

The Biosafety National Technical Commission – CTNBio, using the powers vested in it by Decree no. 5,591, of November 22, 2005, which regulates provisions of Law no. 11,105, of March 24, 2005, and according to what was passed during the 114th CTNBio Regular  Meeting, of June 19, 2008, determines:

1. CIBio may authorize activities of import, export and transportation of class 1 risk GMO derivatives for the sole use in research under a regime of restraint;

2. CIBio shall include in its yearly report to CQB all imports, exports and transportations conducted during the period covered by such report.

3. This Communiqué does not exempt the institutions from complying with other legal requirements.
